In Helvécia, significant progress has been made in supporting the employment of people with young children and in family-friendly services. A crèche with three group rooms for 36 young children, and a kindergarten with 100 places and four group provide day care for the youngest children, helping parents with young children to re-enter the labour market and increase employment.
Owing to the development, the kindergarten in Helvécia has moved to new, modern, 21st-century conditions, and can now operate with a larger number of groups than before. However, the new crèche is a completely new development that fills a gap, as there was previously no crèche in the municipality. For both institutions, quality furniture and equipment, development tools and toys were purchased. The investment included energy-efficient and environmentally friendly building engineering solutions, but the modern facilities are also barrier-free. The investment not only represents a significant improvement for the local community, but also contributes to the development and to improving the attractiveness of the Municipality of Helvécia.
The development could be implemented thanks to project TOP-1.4.1-15-BK1-2016-00023 under the Territorial and Settlement Development Operational Programme by using EU funding.
